The Energy Mat is intended to be a gentle, soothing experience. You should find somewhere quiet and comfortable (on top of a bed would be perfect), lay the mat out and allow it to begin pre heating.
The Energy Mat will only begin to feel warm when you are lying directly on top of it. Because the Energy Mat uses Far Infrared, the intent is that these energy waves are passing directly from the heating element and into your body. Without a body on the mat, these waves will just dissipate into the air, so you will not feel warmth until you are lying on the mat.
When you are ready to start the PEMF function, you may press the PEMF button and set the desired frequency. The PEMF will operate for a 20-minute interval, which is the maximum recommend time for PEMF during any one-hour session on the mat.
During your session, we recommend do whatever it is that you find personally relaxing. This could be practicing meditation, breathwork, listening to music or just doing nothing at all.
